my story
Having moved to London in 2005, I found it challenging to earn a living at my previous professions of radio, television presenting and lecturing at University.
For six years I was a senior retail manager for flagship stores in Oxford Street and Bond Street in London. I earned enough to live comfortably and support my daughter at the private Lycee Francais Charles De Gaulle in South Kensington. For six years I sacrificed my health, core values and education just to make money. Ironically the money I made was spent on childcare, commuting to work and trying to recover my health.
Though I was earning a 6-figure salary, the environment did not inspire me. I knew that my skills and experience were a huge inspiration to the people I worked with and I wanted to make a bigger impact. I did not enjoy the lack of freedom that comes with corporate life. Constant concern about long hours spent away from my daughter was the final straw. Something had to give.
I made the decision that I was not going to live like this anymore, always stressed, rushed and heading for burn-out.

It was time to get out of my day job for good, even if I did not know what else I would do or how I would make money next.
As it turns out, this was the best decision I have ever made. It led me to a much more stylish way of working and living and afforded time freedom to spend with my daughter whilst travelling the world.
I learnt how to combine my skills and passions and offer them in an inspiring and stylish way that has transformed my finances and wellbeing beyond belief.
